Frontier Markets ETF


The Africa Equity fund was soft by JP Morgan Asset Management in May 2008.

The fund will focus on Africa, and will invest across the entire continent with a particular focus on commodity and resource investments. It will aim to benefit from growing domestic demand and consumer spending, as well as political stability in Africa.

The funds portfolio will hold about 70-130 stocks and it will have experience turnover of 30-75 per cent a year. It will be benchmarked against the Frontier Markets Africa index and the MSCI Emerging Markets ET Index.

It is expected fund will invest heavily in financial and banking as well as any infrastructure related stocks. The largest country that will be invested in will more than likely be South Africa, followed by Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria, and Kenya.
